Purpose<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A Grant Recipient user email address associated with a Login.gov account may log into GrantSolutions through Login.gov using another authentication method. The Grant Recipient user should create a Login.gov account prior to attempting to log into GrantSolutions through Login.gov using another authentication method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To log into GrantSolutions through Login.gov using another authentication method, perform the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. From a browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, navigate to www.grantsolutions.gov<\/a> and click the Login<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. The GrantSolutions \u201cLogin\u201d screen appears. Click the Login.gov<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. The Login.gov \u201cSign in\u201d screen appears, this time linked to GrantSolutions. Enter the email address <\/strong>associated with the GrantSolutions account in the Email<\/em> address field and enter the Login.gov password<\/strong> in the Password<\/em> field. Click the Sign in<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Note<\/strong>: On the Login.gov \u201cSign in\u201d screen, an email address associated with the GrantSolutions account is necessary for the first log in only. Perform subsequent log ins using any email address associated with the Login.gov account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. The Login.gov \u201cSign in with your PIV or CAC\u201d screen appears. Click the Choose another authentication method<\/strong> link.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          1. On the Login.gov \u201cSelect your authentication method\u201d screen, use the radio buttons to select an authentication method<\/strong> and click the Continue <\/strong>button at the bottom.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              \n
            1. On the Login.gov \u201cEnter your security code\u201d screen, enter the 6-digit One-time security code<\/strong> or backup code<\/strong> to sign in and click the Submit<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              1. The Login.gov \u201cYou are now signing in for the first time\u201d screen appears with the email address used for the Login.gov account. Click the Agree and continue <\/strong>button at the bottom.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                1. If the user has multiple accounts associated to the GrantSolutions email address used to sign in, the GrantSolutions \u201cLogin\u201d screen appears. The GrantSolutions email address may be associated to both Grantor and Grant Recipient accounts. However, only Grant<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                  If a Grantor account associated to the GrantSolutions email address exists, a message appears stating, \u201cYou have an existing Grantor user accounts but you need to login using your PIV card to use them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  Select the radio button for the Grant Recipient<\/strong> account to log in with and click the LOG IN<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  Note<\/strong>: If the user has one account only, the user bypasses the GrantSolutions \u201cLogin\u201d screen and is routed directly to GrantSolutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  A message appears stating \u201cYour Account has been activated. Please access the system using your GrantSolutions login page. If you have any questions about accessing the system please contact the GrantSolutions Help Desk.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  Note<\/strong>: This message only appears upon the first log in attempt. Each attempt after the account is activated results in successful log in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  1. Click the access the system using your GrantSolutions login page<\/strong> link to navigate to the GrantSolutions \u201cLogin\u201d screen.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                    1. On the GrantSolutions \u201cLogin\u201d screen, click the Login.gov<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                      1. On the Login.gov \u201cSign in\u201d screen, repeat the steps to log in using another login method.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                        The “My Grants List” screen appears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
